My dad Jim Whittaker was the landlord at the Hodder and was a good friend of Tommy. I used to spend a lot of time with Bobby (Tommy's son) when we were about 12 years old. We had holidays together and used to spend every weekend at the Hodder getting into all sorts of mischief.I remember Tommy as being a kind family man who always had time for me and Bobby even though we got into all sorts of scrapes. I always start my boy hood stories to my grand kids with "me and Bobby Cummings did .....". It was very sad to here of Tommys passing.I am still a very staunch Burnley supporter.
